6 TRACK GROOVE SYNTHESIZER
GROOVES is a synthesizer with 5 drum parts and 1 bass part.
It has a sequencer with 64 patterns and a effect delay.
BASS PART:
WAVETABLE Selects the waveform for the bass part.
CUTOFF Adjusts the cutoff frequency of the low-pass filter
RES Adjusts the low pass filter peak.
AMOUNT Sets the amount of the low pass filter envelope adjustment.
TUNE Sets the pitch of the bass part
LFO RATE Sets the operating frequency of the LFO
LFO AMOUNT Sets the amount of LFO adaptation. The default setting is WAVETABLE, but it can also be adjusted to TUNE and CUTOFF.
ENV Sets the envelope decay.
DRUM Part:
BD Select from 3 types.
SD,3CH,4OH Select from 2 types.
RS Toggles between rim shot and CLAP.

Knobs:
WAVETABLE
Selects the waveform for the bass part.
CUTOFF
Adjusts the cutoff frequency of the low-pass filter
RES

Adjusts the amount of the low pass filter envelope adjustment
TUNE
Sets the pitch of the bass part
LFO RATE

Sets the amount of LFO adaptation. Default is set to WAVETABLE, but can also be adapted to TUNE and CUTOFF.

Jacks:
SYNC Jack
Used for input/output of SYNC signals; use SHIFT+STEP8 to switch between input and output.
OUT jack
Outputs a mix of drums and bass. Mono output.
SUB jack
This is a sub output that does not pass through the LEVEL.
Switches and Operations:
STEP switch
Eight switches are used to input triggers to the selected part.
PLAY/STOP
Plays/stops the sequencer
A/B switch
Sequencer has up to 16 steps; set the A/B switch to A to input odd-numbered steps, or B to input even-numbered steps; press SHIFT and PATTERN SELECT switch simultaneously to input more detailed sub-steps. (x2~x4)
SEQ/KYBD switch
When set to KYBD, you can select the scale to be input to the bass part.
Operation of the combination switch:
Setting is done by pressing the step switch while holding down the switch
SOUND SELECT
Switch Switches between tone variations. Each time the step switch is pressed, the tone of each part is switched. When the step switch is lit, it is the default setting; when it is blinking, it is any other setting. (The name of the part is marked above the step switch.)
BD
Select from 3 types
SD,3CH,4OH
Select from 2 types.
RS
Switches between RIM SHOT and CLAP.
BASS switch
Adds noise, selectable in 3 levels.
TIE switch
Switches where the LFO is applied.

PART SELECT switch:
Selects the part to be input by the sequencer. The name of the part is marked above the step switch.
BD,SD,CH,OH,RS
Drum part.
BASS
Trigger and note input for the bass part.
TIE
Inputs a tie (slide) for the bass part.
ACC
Inputs accents for the bass part.
PART MUTE:
switch Selects the part to mute
Press the STEP8 button to play the horn sample.
PATTERN SELECT:
switch Selects a pattern; set the A/B switch to A to set the pattern and B to set the bank.
SCALE SELECT:
switch Changes the scale of the KYBD.
SHIFT switch:
STEP1
Saves the pattern.
STEP2,3
Sets the octave of the keyboard
STEP4,5
Sets the tempo.
STEP6,7
Clears the pattern.
STEP8
Sets whether the sync signal is input or output.
Other Functions:
CUE SHIFT + PLAY/STOP
Returns the playback step to the beginning.
RANDAMIZE SHIFT + SOUND SELECT
Randomizes the bass part
Part volume SHIFT + PART SELECT
Sets the volume of the currently selected part in 8 steps.
Substep input SHIFT + PATTERN SELECT
Inputs a detailed sub-step (available only for the drum part). (Effective only for drum parts)
DELAY setting SHIFT + SCALE SELECT STEP1~6
Turns the delay for each part ON and OFF STEP8 Sets the delay feedback strength in 3 steps
Last step setting PATTERN SELECT+ SCALE SELECT
Sets the step length of the bass part sequence.
Other settings SHIFT + PART MUTE
STEP2,3 Sets keyboard transpose.
STEP4,5 Sets shuffle.
STEP6 Sets the distortion of the bass part in 3 steps.
STEP8 Switch the sync signal type. (1/2,1/1)
Step Recording SHIFT+KEYBD
Enter step recording mode for the bass part by holding down the SHIFT button and switching to KYBD mode. 16 notes must be entered or the start button must be pressed to finish recording.
Fill Loop PART MUTE + PATTERN SELECT
Continuously hits the specified instrument.
RESET DATA
Hold down the STEP1 button to start. Saved data will not be loaded.
