Product Overview
The A-100 Monster Base has the same width as the A-100 Monster Cases (A-100PMS6/9/12) and is planned as a base frame for the A-100 Monster Cases. But it can be used also as a stand alone unit without the Monster Case. It has a removeable top cover with handle for easy transportation. Two A-100 power supplies and four bus boards are built in.
The A-100 Base Frame has two rows for modules available: one with horizontal alignment and another 45 degrees inclined row. The useable width is the same as for the Monster Case, i.e. 168 HP. Because of the more complicated mechanical construction the lenght of the Monster Base is a bit more than the lenght of the Monster case. This has the advantage that even two standard suitcases or low cost suitcases can be positioned side by side on top of the A-100 base frame.
All bus boards are located in the rear area (even those for the modules that are mounted in the front row). This was necessary to take advantage of the full height of the front area for installation of A-100 modules. The max. depth for modules in the front row is ~70 mm.
outside dimensions: ~ 930 (width) x 420 (depth) x 210 (height), measures in mm

usable depth for A-100 modules rear row: ~ 90 mm
weight: ~ 13.5 kg (without modules)
Quantity of bus boards: 4
Maximum Output Current:
with two built-in A-100PSU2 (until about end of 2015): +12V/2400mA, -12V/2400mA
with two built-in A-100PSU3 (since about early 2016): +12V/4000 mA, -12V/2400mA, +5V/8000mA
Assignment of the power supplies to the bus boards:
A-100PSU #1: bus board pair left

Important note: The combination of A-100PMB with A-100P6 or A-100P9 is not recommended because in this case an additional force is applied in the middle of the upper cover of the A-100PMB. That may bend the upper cover of the A-100PMB according the overall weight of the A-100P6/P9. In addition the A-100P6/P9 may wobble because it's sitting only on 3 rubber feet. If nevertheless an A-100P6/P9 is placed on top of an A-100PMB additional measures are required (stabilization of the top cover in the middle and e.g. a self-adhesive felt pad at the position of the fourth rubber foot of the A-100P6/P9). It's also not possible to mount the A-100P6/P9 to the A-100PMB by means of the connectors A-100MVG because of the missing threads of A-100P6/P9.
Therefore we recommend the suitcase base A-100PB in combination with A-100P6 or A-100P9.
