Modular World was launched in May, 2020 as a way to bridge the many global modular synth communities that are growing quickly and passionately. Modular synthesists are innovators and sonic explorers unlike any other musicians. Putting these artists together on the same global stage had never happened before. Modular World has been a monthly stream (sometimes more) on YouTube and has grown quickly this past year on all social media platforms. The format is typically 5 performers with a live-chat after each performance. Live-chat gives the audience a chance to ask questions and interact with the artist in a real way about thier process. The show was created and hosted by Johno Wells, a life-long musician, and modular synthesist with a real passion for community building and genuine connections between artists world-wide. While obviously being focused on modular, we stand for inclusivity for all people and their artistry - no matter what type of gear they choose to use in addition to modular.

To celebrate one year of Modular World, we are putting on a 24+hr stream on May 8 and 9 with 130 performers from 24 countries. Artists will play up to 10minute sets and join for the live-chat after their performance, in the regular format of the show.
