Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
I hope you all had a nice one with your love ones/families/friends~ I took my family to Sand Dunes near Mexican Border where they shot Star Wars “Return of Jedi”(yes, where they have battles on Jabba the Hutt ship)… We didn’t have any buggies or anything fancy like that so we did a sand sledding instead! It was still fun(and a lot of work out!!!)~. Driving back on Friday afternoon going thru rare snow scene near Julian was cool, too!
Anyhow, while I was entertaining my family at Sand Dunes, my group text started beeping like crazy~ It was an invitation from Nick “DUB Station ZERO” (https://www.instagram.com/dubstationzero/) saying, we should jam with modularsynths on Saturday night. Ok... 5 of us??? that sounds crazy but maybe fun! Let’s see what happens…!
So, off we go on Saturday night at “DUB Station ZERO” HQ, Ocean Beach San Diego CA… I get there around 8pm and Johno & Matt from “June Water” (https://www.instagram.com/junewaterofficial/) get there at exactly same time! All right! We are already Synced!!
Now we have 5 modular cases occupying Nick’s living room and Nick has a multi on the floor for us to share a same clock to Jam with~. Right on! We are ready to do some~. Johno and Matt, they do duo. And so do Nick and Jesse. They are used to sharing a clock and make cool music. Tonight, it’s 5 of us~. But should be cool, as long as we listen to each other and not over do it.

We didn’t plan too much but felt like we were on the same page all along. end up doing 2x 40 min Jams. We shared a clock on both jams. First one was totally no rules whatsoever but second one we decided to go with F#minor(yeah, F# is in these days!!! Didn’t you know? just kidding…).
I used to be in bands full time so It kind of reminded me of that feeling but I have never done with modularsynths so it was totally a new experience!
I love making music alone on modularsynths but I really enjoyed doing 5 of us very much. We will most likely do this again because we all had a blast jamming! Nick recorded the whole thing so maybe we get to hear it somewhere on internet world soon(I hope)! Stay tuned!
Thx again to Nick and Amy for hosting us at their place and amazing Tacos!!!
